Lucent respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect information when you use our mobile application, including AI-powered photo enhancement and image generation features.
Lucent does not require users to create an account. When you use the app, we may process the following information only as needed to provide the app's features:
Lucent allows users to upload or select photos in order to generate, enhance, or transform images with AI-powered features. These photos may contain a user's face or other identifiable visual information.
We do not collect biometric face data. We do not create, extract, store, or use face geometry, face landmarks, face templates, face embeddings, Face ID data, or any data used to identify or authenticate a person.
Uploaded photos, including photos that may contain faces, are used only to provide the requested AI image generation or enhancement result. When a user starts a photo-based AI request, the selected photo is sent to our secure backend and then to Google Gemini for the sole purpose of generating the requested output. The request may also include the selected style or prompt, aspect ratio settings, and a device identifier required to deliver the feature.
Face-containing photos are not used for user identification, authentication, advertising, tracking, profiling, or sale. We do not sell face data or user photos.
Lucent uses Google Gemini, provided by Google, for AI image generation and enhancement. Photo-based generation requests are transmitted from the app to our backend service and then to Google Gemini. The data sent for these requests may include the user-selected image, text prompt, selected style, aspect ratio setting, and device identifier.
Google Gemini processes the submitted image and request data only to generate or enhance the image requested by the user. Lucent does not ask Google Gemini to identify a person, verify identity, authenticate a user, create biometric face data, track a user, or build an advertising profile from uploaded photos.
We do not permit user-uploaded photos, face-containing images, prompts, or generated outputs to be used for advertising, tracking, profiling, sale, or user identification. Third-party processing is used only to provide the app functionality requested by the user.
Uploaded photos are retained as needed to send the request to Google Gemini, process the AI generation request, troubleshoot processing failures, provide the generated result, and display the user's before-and-after generation history inside the app.
Generated image records may include the generated output and the related source or before image so the user can view, compare, download, share, or delete the result from the app. These records are retained until the user deletes them from the app or the records are no longer needed to provide the service.
When a user deletes an image from the app, we request deletion of the associated stored generated image and related source or before image from our active systems. Limited copies may remain in backups, logs, or security records for up to 30 days when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or service reliability.
Users choose whether to upload or select a photo. The app does not access a user's photo library unless the user grants system permission and selects a photo. Before using photo-based AI features, users are informed that selected photos may be sent to our backend and Google Gemini to create the requested result.
Users can choose not to upload a photo, can use text-based features where available, and can delete generated images from their in-app history.
We may use third-party tools for analytics, crash reporting, app performance, attribution, or advertising measurement. These tools may collect technical and usage information such as device type, operating system, crash logs, app interactions, and identifiers used for measurement. These tools do not receive user-uploaded photos for AI generation from us unless expressly stated in this policy.
Lucent may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions. Transactions are processed securely through the App Store or Google Play. We do not have access to your full payment card or billing information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through an app update, in-app notice, or by updating this page.
